I came in with a lower back injury and could barely move. Samir was extremely patient, and with each appointment, I kept improving. From a strained muscle to now being fully recovered and back to normal—returning to work and the gym. He also explains what’s happening in your body, which helped me understand the healing process. I couldn’t be in better hands. 100% recommend!

Only good things to say about the entire team at Active Performance! I’ve seen the physiotherapists there for some hip pain and they have been so professional, knowledgeable and just really lovely. They were mindful about my goals of getting back into exercise and made me feel so positive about recovery.

As a parent of an 11 year old (with big aspirations) that wants to give my child the best chance at developing into a young female athlete , Active Performance physiotherapists Tayla and Josh were able to quickly identify, treat and prevent some musculoskeletal issues that were preventing performance and risking the chances of representative selection. Not only did they fix a problem, they invited her to Actives gym and provided targeted strengthening exercises based on Basketball's biomechanics to complete at home, which she has been highly dedicated to completing as prescribed. We're happy to announce our daughter's issues are resolved and she has been selected in Div1 to represent Cairns and Penninsula for the upcoming representative season. With Active Performance's ongoing Allied Health support and Network Partners , we are confident our daughter will meet her career aspirations.

The best by far one of the best remedial massage treatment I have ever received . Mikaela was incredible from the moment I walked in. she is Brilliant ,Very Professional with such a Beautiful Nature that made me feel very relaxed. My experience was absolutely AMAZING! She checked in throughout to make sure the level of pressure was okay, did a fantastic job in relieving ALL!! tension areas and Knots , I felt so aligned with increased mobility and neck movement range immediately, days after i felt even better with an amazingly unexpected clearer less racing mind. to date I have not had a vertigo episode since my combination of treatment through Mikaela and the the physiotherapist Nick . Truely Outstanding Team 10/10 . I have recommended Active performance to all my family and friends. Thank you Nick and Mikaela

My husband had been referred to Maddy by a mate of his. We have found Maddy to be nothing short of awesome. She is invested in seeing you succeed in your goals but at the same time, she offers solutions that are practical and easily implemented. Very highly recommend Maddy.

My visits to Active Performance are always refreshing. All the staff I’ve ever encountered have been very friendly, welcoming and professional. I always feel like I’m in good hands with Dean, who really does a wonderful job loosening up my muscles, shoulders and back. These guys are my go-to Physio practice.

After a referral from my GP for a knee injury, I have felt so comfortable visiting Active a performance in Cairns. My physiotherapist Marcus made me feel at ease straight away, and began with an assessment of my knee, rather than relying on an X-ray diagnosis. He correctly suggested an issue different to the X-ray diagnosis, which was later confirmed by an MRI. I was given some exercises to follow between appointments, and was able to progress to joining a gym to continue with my knee recovery and overall fitness. Marcus has been so supportive in my recovery, and giving me the confidence to reach my goals. I also wanted to call out the great team on reception. One time, I witnessed such professionalism and care from Katrina for a patient who was with their carer, helping them navigate the forms and process. I also had to visit for a separate issue where I pulled by back, and Samir gave me excellent massage and dry needling to give me relief from the pain and movement restriction. It seems that the team are so well curated for their professional skills, and their people skills. Would thoroughly recommend anyone in need of their services to call in or make an appointment.

Matt and Josh were excellent. They found a key exercise that got my shoulder moving again so I was able to progress and strengthen it. Highly recommend this. And the complimentary tea on arrival is such a personal touch. I enjoyed it!

AP have been amazing from the time you you walk thru the door. The girls on the front desk are caring and professional.. if I could give Josh a 10 stars I would. He has been fantastic in my recovery journey.

My Diatician Maddy is amazing. She is very understanding and always gives me options for foods if I don't like something. She takes the time to listen to me and actually think about what I need taking into consideration my life style.
